This is a free thing, built into the router (most D-Link or Linksys routers support it, though I had to upgrade my firmware to enable it). Yay. The router goes out and pokes the server at DynDNS.org and makes sure it has the cuttent address. It shouldn't ever change, but if it does, it will change the DNS entry for reddaltoids.selfip.info to match the new address. The address rarely changes, but if I'm not at my computer to see the new one, I can't easily find it. Or at least, I couldn't before. but now I can. yay. :D
reddaltoids.gotdns.com should now always point to my IP, even if the router address changes. Hot.
